If you’ve run one of the big races in Kansas City, if you’re involved with any nonprofits in Kansas City, if you’ve ever watched the pledge drive on PBS Kansas City, or if you follow influencers in Kansas City, you’ve likely come across the voice or the name of this week’s guest, Jake Jacobson.
After working in the sports department at The Kansas City Star, and then in public relations for Garmin and Children’s Mercy Hospital, Jake is now the VP of Growth & Partnerships for Native Digital.
Jake and host Matt Fulks have known each other since about 2004, when they worked together on the desk at The Star. So, as Jake puts it, you’re eavesdropping on two old friends talking about the world of public relations, how Garmin was staying a step ahead of Jimmy Buffet, and working with the Big Slick fundraiser for Children’s Mercy.
